Girl Scout Camp is just days away and our awesome staff members are busy with training and preparations. Girl Scout Resident Camp staff arrived on May 26 and began a full week of applying the finishing touches to camp, helping to ensure our Girl Scouts have a safe and enjoyable summer.
It takes a village to orchestrate a summer of Resident Camp. The wranglers are up at the barn riding the horses and evaluating them for campers, the health staff are organizing supplies, sorting forms and preparing the health lodge, and the counselors and unit leaders are cleaning and decorating the units, planning activities and gathering supplies.
Throughout the week, the entire staff is brushing up on topics like First Aid/CPR, behavior management, meal planning and preparation, dining hall procedures and customer service skills.
It has been a busy week, but the staff can’t wait to have Girl Scouts arrive on June 4. It is going to be an epic summer, we can promise you that!
